For many people—and many faiths—the month of December is a special time of celebration, reflection, and meaning. For Christians, the four weeks of Advent lead to the joyful festivities of Christmas, marking the birth of Jesus. In the Jewish faith, Hanukkah, the “Festival of Lights,” falls this year from the evening of December 14 to the evening of December 22.
