Positive Relationships between Families and the School

Introduction

Share your reflections on what it means to have a positive relationship between your family and the school.

Families are vital partners in creating a welcoming and supportive school community. When home and school work together through trust, open communication, and shared purpose, students are more engaged, supported, and successful.

This discussion invites parents and caregivers to reflect on what a positive relationship with the school looks and feels like — and how schools can continue to nurture meaningful, two-way partnerships with families.

Your insights will help us better understand how families experience connection and collaboration with the school community, and will guide improvements to the Parent/Caregiver Climate Survey so it more accurately reflects what positive relationships mean to you.
